This week was a little nerve racking with mid-semester grades being posted. Personally, I hate mid-semester grades. They don't really count, and they sometimes aren't even your real grade. Like one of my English classes for example, my professor breaks up the final essays so that you can either do them near mid-semester on one of the earlier readings or near the end of the semester on one of the later readings. So if you were in the group that has already done the essay, your mid-semester grade was the grade you got on your essay and if you haven't done it yet, your mid-semester grade was based on a short response we wrote for one of our readings. So, it's not really the best representation of your class grade. But, I got a 102 on my bio lab exam, which pulled my bio grade up to an A! :)
Yesterday I went to Barre for my practicum, which I'm really starting to get excited about. The last few times I've been then, I've mostly just observed the classroom and the teacher, but yesterday I talked with my practicum teacher about starting to work with a few students in small groups. I'm super pumped, but a little nervous at the same time. I guess we'll see how it goes next week!
I'm also pretty excited for mid-semester break. Even though it's only one day of no classes and I'm not going home like a lot of people are, it will be nice to have a day off tomorrow to relax and get ahead on some homework. It will also give me the time to revise some papers I haven't been able to get to yet. But mostly, I'm looking forward to being able to sleep in!
