My Name is Kathryn Tickell, but I go by KT. I am a sophomore Civilian Nursing major here at Norwich. As I look past this summer, I see a year full of opportunities that I cannot wait for! Since I am a nursing major I have the ability to experience the civilian lifestyle and still do ROTC. Last year I was offered a scholarship, which will allow me to pursue my dream career as a nurse in the AF.
As this is my sophomore year, I have a challenging course load but also demanding requirements for ROTC. This year I will be competing for a Field Training position for summer 2013. Future blogs will explain more about this experience throughout the school year!
This summer was one I will never forget. The highlight was the event of my sister getting married. I had the privilege of being her Maid of Honor! The wedding was a lot of work and planning, however in the end, completely worth it. On July 1st, my family had a beautiful celebration together. I also had the blessing of being a group counselor at a Christian summer camp, called Dustin’s Place, for two weeks. The rest of the summer was dedicated to work and relaxation when I had the chance.
Now I am packing up for school and getting ready for a great year!
I’ll blog again soon!
