I survived the first week of classes. Is my schedule that bad as I thought it would be? Well this week wasn't that bad. Monday, Wednesday, Friday I have 6 classes until 1500 and only a hour break for lunch. On Tuesday I have no classes except for Mil. lab. and on Thursday I have 3 labs until 1500. It's pretty hectic and I can see myself 8 weeks into the semester geting very tired...haha, and tired I mean as being annoyed of my schedule but I hope I can live with it. I can see it as getting difficult with 6 classes, but I have to remember to take it one day at a time, if I look at my schedule as a week or whole I'll never get over it because the number of classes will overwhelm me. So far I like my classes but we'll see my progress as I keep blogging. Anatomy and Physiology I can see as a difficult class because I have to memorize a bunch of stuff. Like I already have to memorize the dozen parts of the skull by next Thursday and other terminology. Physics I can see as my most difficult class because I've taken a physics class in my life! So yeah, I definitely have work to do and I have to keep on top of my academics.
I also mentioned I changed my major. I used to be a mechanical engineering major, but due to some really difficult classes and a lack of interest to tedious computer work, I decided to make Sports Medicine as my new major...and I really like it! I took anatomy and physiology in high school and I'm actually remembering all the stuff I learned. I pretty much learned from my mistakes in high school and now I know what I have to memorize to know all the body parts and stuff. My sports med class is also very fun, it's very hands-on and I enjoy it. Even though sports med. is a hard major I can see myself enjoying it; memorizing anatomy, plugging away physics problems, learning how to wrap injuries....I know from this week this major will be a daunting task but I actually look forward to cracking open my textbooks and reading, doing worksheets, and learning all the terminology. Hopefully by the end of this semester I will have a higher GPA... THAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS SEMESTER!!!
