This years fall semester FEX for the Naval Battalion WAY different than last year! But this year I learned a whole lot more than I did last year. Maybe it's because I'm a sophomore, but I definitely feel much more comfortable with fireteam tactics and feel confident about myself. Even though preparation fro the FEX was different than last year, I still learned a lot and improved. I'm happy about how I assessed the situation when I was squad leader and a fireteam leader. I felt as if this year this FEX was more of a learning experience. The MECEPS kinda guided you through the situation and then in the end the evaluation was very exact to what you did wrong. I take the FEX's seriously because it's something that I will definitely need to know for OCS. It scares me about how close the future is. In a way I want it to come true, but I know it's going to take a lot of self discipline for OCS. Passing OCS shows how badly you want the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. It's something that I've been working for since high school because I got the scholarship. It's so wierd of how the future is so close....i'll repeat it again, it's really scary!!!
I've being reading your blog and found your post very helpful :) . I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog!
