This past week we've been getting a TON of snow! It snowed for two whole days, it rained the next day, and then it snowed and then there was sleet. Well, nothing compared to anything when the chain of events happened on wednsday. On wednesday it was the second day it snowed, and it kept piling on. In the morning there was a power outage around 3 in the morning, which made a lot of people late for PT since their alarms didn't go off. Then, the power kept going off and on throughout the day. In the morning the chow hall ran out of food because the power was out for a long time, but it re-opened in time for lunch. The power went off again during physics lab. THEN, the most epic thing happened during dinner! I was eating dinner with my rook buddies around 1830, I was done eating so I decided to just sit there and chill with them...all of a sudden BOOM, power goes out! Then, there was HUGE green flash of light, followed by some sparks! Across the street, a HUGE flash of blue light goes off, followed by some sparks! These flashes of light were enormous!! It was like a camera flash, but the color filled the chow hall,I did not know what was going on! Apparently, a transformer blew up. After all the explosions, everyone had to evacuate the chow hall. There was smoke inside the building and smelled pretty bad.
I was highly impressed that night. After 2 days of complete snowstorm, power outages, and the chow hall explosions, it made it a very eventful day! The good thing was that the chow hall was opened the next morning and all is well!
