Hey Marybeth, I just started reading your blog and I think its great! Sorry, you didn't get the position you wanted. But I have some questions. What is VIPA and what are rooks?

Marybeth Davis

Hi Hunter,
Thanks for the comment.
VIPA is the club I am president of, it stands for Violence Intervention Peer Advocacy. As a member you can be trained to be a be a confidential advocate and help victims from all types of violence get the resources they need or just be a listening ear when they need to vent. As for rooks, a rook is a freshman in the corps. As a rook you have to undergo an 18 week program where you are faced with many challenges. (please read some of my older blogs as I was a rook last year) But being a rook is a life changing experience that you undergo with some fantastic people who will become your closest friends.
If you have anymore questions feel free to ask them!!
Mary Beth
