Okay so in this post I am going to talk about how to deal with the stresses of Norwich! Being a cadet at Norwich can be super stressful because you have corps, school, and club responsibilities. Trying to juggle all of these things can become super stressful and can be very overwhelming. So here is a few good stress relieving activities that help me out.
- Talk to a Friend
My roommate and rook siblings are awesome for me to talk to and express my emotions to them. Some of them go through the same things I am going through or can give an objective look on what is happening. Telling someone can really help with stress just by getting it off your shoulders and expressing your feelings can be relieving as you are not the only one who has to carry those feelings around.
2. Participating in Activities
Doing something other than what you are stressing about can help you relieve stress. Activities can release stress by giving you a way to free your emotions. I personally like to watch Netflix or play video games. I also love to work out or running to just think to myself about my problems and how I can fix them.
3. Do something with a Group
My friends are life savers, we are always doing something on the weekends. My roommates and I favorite thing to do is to go out to eat. But going out to eat is not wonderful unless we have our friends with us so we can enjoy their presence. Doing this gets your mind off the hardships that are going on in your life.
I hope this helps some of you guys to not stress out. Until next time guys!
