This week, talk of midterms, midterm grades, and buzz about spring break were the biggest topics.
Most of the snow melted, as we got some kind of "heat wave" toward the end of the week. A friend of mine got stuck in the mud, and needed to head to Walmart, and asked a few of us if we wanted to go for a ride because the weather was so nice. We ended up going out for dinner, and it was nice! We went to Panera, and spent about 3 or 4 hours off campus, enjoying the weather, the "mall" and dinner. I was stuffed when we got back to campus, so I crawled in bed and passed out.
I found out how most of my midterms were going to be submitted, and most of them are going to be based on my first exam grades. Some of my classmates didn't do too well on the accounting exam, so our professor said that if we tanked, we'll see a "C-" as our midterm grade, so our parents don't think that we're failing. If we did pretty well, we got the grade we received as our midterm grade.
I also signed up for an alumni networking event that is happening during spring break. I'm excited. Hopefully I make some solid connections, as I will need as many connections as I can get when I graduate in 2 years.
I'm also bringing my friend Alex home for break again. She seems really happy to be coming back to the DC area. I told her that we would go back to the Smithsonian museums again. My sister is excited to see her again, too. I'm hoping that my sister can get out of school one day so the three of us can go to the museums again. Mom may or may not come, but I understand that her hips don't always allow her to do a lot of walking around the city.
Oh! and Vermont got a second wave of heat, but it was only temporary. The only snow left is from the piled up snow banks that accumulated from plowing the parking lots.
(Like I said in my last post, I am so sorry for posting so late, but I will be setting up a weekly alarm to remind me to sit down and blog.)
