Now that I am back from break I figured I would give ya'll the low down of what happened.
Most of the school left Friday afternoon, but for those less fortunate (cough cough me) I did not leave until Saturday morning. This really didn't turn out to be so bad. Our leave began at 1600, which meant we could close our doors and use our phones. I personally slipped on some sweatpants, turned on country music, and packed for my trip the next day. Later that night my Rook brother and I ordered pizza in and we watched Netflix. It was a very relaxing night that us Rooks won't get to experience again until after recognition.
Once I got back to Texas, the first thing I did was eat dinner at my favorite TexMex restaurant. After 3 long months of no real Mexican food I was a very happy camper. And yes, the next thing I did was jump in my comfy bed and sleep. Wednesday night I tagged along to the airport to pick up my best friend. We have not seen each other since June so it was a very good reunion. Sadly, we only saw each other that night. The next day was Thanksgiving and Friday I was with my family, so we didn't see much of each other. Luckily, Christmas break will be much longer!
Thanksgiving day.....ahh a day full of food. It was a nice day full of family and food. Personally, I am a huge fan of stuffing so I ate a lot of that. And of course, I slept some more.
Though break seemed very short it was nice to have a break from Norwich. I am happy to be back here at the Wick. 2 weeks of normal Corps life, then 1 week of finals and we are done!!! It's hard to believe my first semester of college is almost over!
22 days until Christmas break!!!!
