Today was interesting. We woke up early to go to the bread bakery to be disappointed because it was closed. We met at 8:30 to start our actual volunteer work. We started at El Chile to hear about the weaving and bag making of the women in El Chile. We were also able to color and play with the children in El Chile. We then left for Ocalca camp where we were supposed to dig a ditch. It turned out to be much more difficult than we expected. There were only a few tools and there were ants everywhere. The ants were biting and it really hurt. After digging for 3 or 4 hours it was time to go back to San Ramon. Although we didn’t finish our section, we did our best. Today we had a small team hiccup, but after our meeting I think we are all good. This is a really great team and we get along very well. Everyone does their part and I can always count on some good laughs throughout the day. Although I was feeling quite under the weather today, it was a good day and we got to see more beautiful sights and experience new things.
