Summer plans!

Spring is right around the corner, and then it's SUMMER! I have a lot of fun trips/activities planned. My family and I go to an amusement park every summer. My friend and I are going to be traveling to Maine for a road trip. We are going to stay for about a week in a hotel and visit different beaches. I will have another little niece or nephew this summer so that is beyond exciting! Other than that, I am not too sure what my summer is going to look like. I will be working full-time this summer as a Licensed Nurses Assistant but I will have time off to enjoy my summer and spend time with some friends! I am excited to make more plans and maybe travel! Dorm essentials

I figured I would share some dorm essentials with you if you plan on moving to college for the first time! A microwave comes in handy when you don't want to walk to the dinning hall and if you're like me and make midnight snacks. A mini fridge is a really good thing to invest in. Even though they are a bit pricey, you will appreciate it when you want cold water or fruit to stay somewhat healthy. I didn't have a fridge for awhile in my first semester because I figured I would just walk to the dining hall every meal and that doesn't happen. Sometimes I get so busy studying that I don't have time to go to the dining hall so I have simple food that I can make in my dorm. How to succeed in classes and make the deans list

I am sure you have heard that college classes are difficult, and it is true. However, you can pass with good grades and make the deans list if you make school your top priority. When I first came to Norwich, I thought classes would be a breeze but they aren't. I love a good challenge though and if your classes were too easy then you wouldn't be learning a lot. Hard classes will be helpful for you in the long run because you will graduate Norwich with the high level of skills and knowledge. For example, if you were a nursing student and your classes weren't challenging then that would be a problem. If your patient had a rare disease that you didn't know about because your classes were easy and didn't challenge you enough to learn then you wouldn't know how to treat the patient.
