I think right about now everybody’s reaching borderline insanity with this quarantine. The advice I have for everyone (including myself which I may or may not have been successfully following recently) is to use the pent up energy for good. Even if you aren’t in a great mental place to do homework or study, do something productive!
I reorganized my room instead of starting my Spanish homework, but I felt so much better with doing at least something good. Now my room is more open and I have more floor space to work with. I can burn off some energy by doing a workout or even just dancing to new music.
Get crafty if you want. I ordered paint by numbers off of Amazon and I felt all fancy mixing the paints. Having a final product to show off, even if it honestly doesn’t look all that impressive, is rewarding.
Pick up a new hobby. I pulled out the old skateboard and asked my mom to teach me. Progress is super slow and I can hardly stand on it without almost falling, but at least it’s something. Or maybe pick up an old hobby. I have an old guitar laying around that I’m thinking about trying to learn how to play again.
Overall, stay busy to keep yourself sane, but also allow yourself that time to rest and get the proper amount of sleep you’ve always been missing.
