I never envisioned myself taking online classes. Overall, it’s much more difficult to be motivated in your bed on a laptop than in a classroom with a professor you don’t want to disappoint at the front and students beside you struggling through and helping each other out with the same content.
Although some professors have been offering virtual office hours, certain concepts are more difficult than others to comprehend online. I was doing well in Geology but feel myself getting more and more lost in the sauce even though I attend every virtual class, attend the extra help sessions, and ask classmates for help. Many of the tests have been easier at least, a few of them being open note so we can reference the materials or textbook.
Unfortunately, my Summer plans changed due to the virus - I was originally going to participate in Project Go in Taiwan for the second time. Now, the program is all online. I'll have to get through online classes of Mandarin. Hopefully by then I’ll be able to form a better schedule that'll help me be more motivated to get my work all done on time.
