For my major of International Studies, I have to spend a semester studying abroad. I plan to study in Seville, Spain for the Fall semester of my Senior year. I am also planning to change my current Spanish minor into a major since I will have that study abroad experience in a spanish speaking country anyway. Two of my rook cousins will also be going to the same location, although we may be enrolled in different programs. We want to make sure we have the independence to get through the experience of living in a new place, but also want to have that safety assurance of having people we are familiar with live nearby. We can each have our own friends and experiences, but come together and have all of those shared connections to expand our reach of new people and new opportunities. I'm looking forward to studying abroad, but I still have over a year to have as a buffer time to work on my Spanish until then.
