First Day of Sophomore year

School Starts today. My first day of sophomore year as a nursing student here at Norwich University. When we left in March I couldn’t wait for this day, so that I could come back. I could be back at school with all my friends and learn in person, with hands-on skills and teaching. The way I learn best and getting to be an independent college student. I miss it so much. Being online it is hard to keep up and make sure that I know what's going on. It doesn’t feel right and I really hope that next semester everything is better and we can be in-person on campus. But no matter what I want this is how it will be for the next 4 months and I am definitely gonna need to get used to it. I only have three classes that meet on zoom and four that don’t.... Norwich Esports

Norwich University has many hobbies and activities for students of all walks of life and esports is one of those activities. For those who don't know esports stands for Electronic-Sports which is playing video games competitively just like sports. esports is one of the biggest and fastest growing forms of entertainment in our modern day. Luckily for us Norwich has their own esports teams for Rocket League, CSGO (Counter Strike Global Offensive), Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, League of Legends, PUBG (Players Unknown Battle Grounds), Overwatch, Apex Legends, and Valorant. This is a broad list of games to compete in and this is exciting for me and many others. My First Weekend On Campus

My first weekend on campus was an experience I will never forget. I've met people from not only around the country but around the world. There's people from Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, Sweden, the Philippines, and many more.This gave me a broad view of how diverse Norwich is as a institution. This makes me feel like I'm at home as New York as people from all around the world. Students at Norwich are some of the most genuine people I've ever met in my life. I don't feel uncomfortable or intimidated to go and approach students. This previous Sunday I hiked up a mountain with the other civilian freshman and I made a lot of friends by simply just going up and starting a conversation with students.
