I am finishing up my third week of classes, which means I have two exams and a presentation next week. These are very stressful for everyone in the class, but as long as we kept up with the work and reviewed the recommended material, we should all do pretty well. My anatomy and physiology professor recommended that we review material for an additional hour, on top of the learning modules and class time, everyday in order to do well on the exams. I've been trying to keep up with this schedule, but we just transitioned the class 100% online, so this was a bit of a disruption during the week. I will probably spend most of this weekend studying and completing coursework for this and other classes. Since I'm the type of person that cannot relax until I know I've understood all the material, I have a busy weekend ahead.
For those of you thinking about entering nursing school, don't get discouraged! The classes do incorporate many skills and make you use critical thinking, but after completing the four years, it'll be worth it. My advice to you is to take the classes week by week, don't get overwhelmed by looking over the whole course. Focus on the smaller tasks, like reviewing material everyday, so that when exams come up you aren't totally caught of guard by the amount of material you have to memorize. I hope you continue to push through these challenges!
