This has to be one of the craziest, unforgettable semesters that I will likely ever experience for the entirety of my college career! With unimaginable circumstances, never-ending twists and turns, and a wealth of knowledge that I will take with me into my career.
Would I take it back? Absolutely not.
Despite the controversy surrounding remote learning, I am grateful for the opportunity to have taken 17 credits in a hybrid/remote setting. Granted, the experiences and takeaways are most often greater within an in-person sense, but the takeaways that I have been able to get from this experience have also benefited me in ways that I can't quite fully put into words. For instance, I find myself being more self-reliant, more willing to try new things without full guidance that I may have received in an in-person setting. On the contrary, I can acknowledge that my motivation has dwindled throughout the semester. But, there are tradeoffs.
I think it has been incredibly important to acknowledge the support services and opportunities that have been made available through such unimaginable circumstances.
