As I mentioned in my last post, I did get a chance to continue with my hiking expo of southern New Hampshire, though during my break due to snow, I had a chance to go to Hampton Beach for the sunrise and I definitely recommend! It was beautiful sight and a calm ride so early in the morning, it was lovely to see the beach with snow on it, which I had never considered before, which is weird on its own.
Though I did get to continue my hiking, which side note, if you are ever stressed to the work and college obligations I definitely recommend hiking and making time to get outside and exercise. Being competitive I have my goal to hike all the mountains in NH, which keeps me accountable, though you definitely don't have to be as rigorous about it. Just some quiet time to clear your mind and reflect, and enjoy nature! The world may be closed but the Earth isn't.
During the few days snow free after Christmas I was able to hike four different mountains; Pack Monadnock, Little Mount Monadnock, Gardiner Mountain and North Pack Monadnock, which was my favorite of the four. All four brought different levels of difficulty, though the two Pack Monadnocks and Little Mount Monadnock where part of the Wapack Mountain Range in southern New Hampshire, which provided a trail that connected them all which I thought was cool, though I didn't travel the complete trail yet or connect multiple mountains.
Another recommendation if your do take the stress breaks and head for the hills, keep a map, even if it is digital and stay on the trail! Google maps actually has the more popular trails and with the recent update shows you which direction you are facing so definitely have that before you head out, especially if you are by yourself! Let's just say it is very helpful!
Hope you are all well during quarantine!
