Missing My Friends

Being home is great but it is also so weird being away from the people you have spent so much time with. I miss seeing and spending time with all those friends. While school is stressful and this year was difficult I am missing it a lot right now. I have been able to see a few of my friends from school but others live further away and it is hard. Especially with working so much. I am excited to see everyone in about two and a half months. I definitely look forward to having fun with them again and spending time with them, but for now, facetime and trying to keep up will have to do. Read more →

My Brothers Prom

Yesterday was my brother's prom. I got to watch him get all dressed up and ready. Once he was all ready, there were about 300 pictures that were taken. Him and his date then went to another location with friends and took so many more pictures. There were tons of people at the second location and seeing everyone all dressed up was fun. I was able to see my friends who were younger all dressed up as well so that was great. Once we were done that and sent all the teenagers off to dinner before the prom, my family, my friend, and I went to dinner. 1st week of summer training down

So the first week of training is done and I really wouldn't say it was training but an introduction to communities really in the Navy. It's really nice to experience different communities before having to decide what I want to do for a career in the Navy. I was able to stay in a submarine for 24 hours and I chose to stay up the whole time and explore the submarine. I dragged two other kids with me to stay up and I would say it was pretty difficult to stay up. What is pretty cool is that time is just a construct for these sailors and the galley serves food every 4 hours. I was also lucky enough to be able to drive the submarine for a bit.
