It's so crazy how fast time flies on campus. i Just wanted to say congratulations to every junior who received their rings. I am so glad you were able to have the ceremony and get your rings this past Friday. Getting your ring is one of the most exciting things to look forward to at Norwich. It is a symbol of family and the men and women who graduated before you and who will come after. It is very exciting to wear that ring. But one thing you have to always remember is as time goes on you must remember what that ring symbolizes on your finger. It is a symbol of this school and the alumni before us. When people look at this ring and notice the school you come from it is a very important thing that I hope you always remember. It is an amazing thing I must say when you meet a Norwich alumnus and see the rings that they too have from here. I actually have a friend in a nursing home which my mom works at who is the father of an alumni and at 101 years old this man is able to tell me everything he remembered from the days his son had gone here. Because of him being so excited about this he had got his son to come to his nursing home a day I had come to volunteer where I go to see a ring from 18 years ago. It was so cool to see the designs and similarities from the rings 18 years apart. I am so thankful for being able to receive this ring and congratulate the class this year and classes to come on this amazing achievement in the Norwich University history.
